What is WayCloud?
Waycloud is a web-based wayfinding solution created to address the problem of visitor navigation on large campuses. WayCloud uses easy to read, visually interesting isographic maps to show users to thier current location and detination.
Do I need to be connected to the Internet in order to use WayCloud?
Yes. WayCloud uses server-side process and send data to the client's device. This has the added benefit of excellent cross-compatibility and minimal data transmission creating a fast and user friendly experience.
Do users have to download an app?
No. WayCloud is not a mobile app; it's a cloud-based application, which runs inside a Web browser.
Can I show visitors where restaurants and vending machines are?
Yes. Specific services can be added to WayCloud using custom branded icons.
How does my WayCloud license work?
WayCloud employs a SASS-based license.
Does WayCloud show valet locations?
Yes. Services such as valet, shuttlebuses and designated drop-off and pick-up zones can be shown to visitors.
What kind of map styles are available?
Maps are custom designed on a per client basis. Colors, corporate branding and render style options are unlimited.
What kind of devices work best with WayCloud?
WayCloud is platform-agnostic. Using a reasonably up-to-date browser, WayCloud will work on any Internet-connected device.
How is WayCloud hosted?
WayCloud is hosted on EDN's in-house datacenter.
Does WayCloud include user analytics?
Yes. WayCloud will record user interactions and behaviour across the entirety of the application, to be displayed later through your admin panel.
Can I brand WayCloud using company assets?
Yes. WayCloud is a white-label product; you can use your own company's logo, colors, icons and images.
What level of technical support can I expect?
There is only one level of support: Full and complete support, up to and including hardware failure.
What is SASS?
SASS is a software licensing model in which software is licensed on a subscription basis and is hosted at a central location. This has the added benefit of keeping you free of maintaining hardware and software on site.
Will WayCloud guide me from my home to my destination?
Yes. WayCloud is designed to be accessed before you get on the road, or once you arrive on site. WayCloud can take you from your current location to the correct parking lot on campus, direct you to the closest entrance, then take you to the correct elevator and finally to the correct destination.
